LA Firefighters at the LA Auto Show

The LA Firefighters are there when you need them and now you can return the favor!

Stop by the Built Ford Tough First Responder Display at the LA Auto Show, Dec. 4-13, to have a donation made to the Los Angeles County Firefighters Memorial Widows and Orphans Fund.
Ford is working with the LA County Fire Department to show its support for the firefighting community by helping raise money for the LA County Firefighters Memorial Fund, in honor of their recently fallen heroes – Fire Captain Tedmund Hall and Firefighter Specialist Arnaldo Quinones. Ford will be making a minimum donation of $10,000 but, with your help, that donation could increase to as much as $75,000. Here’s how: Ford will be distributing “passports” at its booth that can be redeemed for a free gift plus a $10 donation. Test-drives earn $20, and for those that do both, Ford will make a $30 donation to the fund. Ford World Class Reliability!

I'm very pleased to share with you some great results from the Consumer Reports' 2009 Vehicle Reliability results that were released yesterday. Consumer Reports' press release reads: Ford has secured its position as the only Detroit automaker with world-class reliability.... About 90 percent (46 of 51) of Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln products were found to have average or better reliability.

The Consumer Reports survey measures vehicle quality in the first three years of service. The results show Fusion and Milan having better reliability than Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, and MKZ beating Acura TL and Lexus EX.

Consumer Reports says Ford is now showing world-class reliability and is pulling away from its domestic competition. 90% of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products have average or better than average reliability. Ford Executive Vice President Mark Fields is interviewed about the latest Consumer Reports Reliability report. Ford scored well and is the most reliable U.S. automaker. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Mustang Boss 302's iconic 1970 Trans-Am championship, and to build
on the success of the Mustang FR500C (winner of 2005/2008/2009 Grand-Am Championships), Ford Racing is
proud to announce the development of a new race-prepared road racing Mustang – the 2010 Ford Racing
Boss 302R. Details of this exciting program have already begun to surface, and we want to ensure our dealers
hear about it from us first.
The Ford Racing Mustang Boss 302R will be a factory-built race car, ready for track days and road racing in a
number of SCCA and NASA classes. An optional Grand-Am Homologation Package will be available for the
